Biography

Eric Perkins graduated from St. Mary's University School of Law in 1989.  After graduating, he moved to Corpus Christi and has lived there ever since.  Practicing first with the firm of Bonilla & Berlanga, Eric then became a prosecutor in the Nueces County Attorney's Office.  Within a year he was promoted to Criminal Section Chief.  In 1992, he entered private practice, and now works very closely with attorney Hector Rene Gonzalez in numerous criminal and civil cases.  Focusing primarily on criminal defense, Eric has successfully defended hundreds of cases and attained a reputation of being a fearless and aggressive advocate.
While focusing on criminal law and preferring to spend most of his time in court, Eric has also practiced in practically every other conceivable area of law. Both in State and Federal Court, he continues to obtain favorable rulings and verdicts for his clients.  Eric is well respected within the legal community and frequently assists and mentors other attorneys, as well as presents to the local bars, Del Mar College, and TAMUCC.
Eric and his wife Sheree have been married 26 years and they have three sons, ages 18 through 24.  Their oldest son, Jared, is attending St. Mary's School of Law, and will continue a family tradition of delivering world-class legal services to the fine people of Texas.
